E3 2017 Conference Review: Electronic Arts

We are back again, and its the most wonderful time of the year, E3! This year we kick off the expo with Electronic Arts coming at us with new games! What will we see from their sports division? Will Star Wars Battlefront be that damn good? What new games will be shown? Here is my review of Electronic Arts E3 2017 conference.

The Good

A Way Out: This game looks absolutely amazing and the fact that it gives not one, but two experiences  while playing the game. While some people consider the forced co-op an issue, I enjoy it as it can be a game of strategy and excitement as both players literally need the other to survive. This game also looks absolutely beautiful and I can’t wait to see more of it.

Star Wars Battlefront 2: This game looks even better than the original Battlefront and I can’t wait to see the “The Last Jedi” maps played on this game. Also having a full on single player story mode starring the lovely Janina Gavankar is going to be awesome to play.

Need for Speed: I legitimately did not know how to feel about this game. It looks a lot different from older Need for Speed games. The gameplay switching between the two characters was awesome and hopefully we get more of that Fast and Furious-type moments.

The Bad

No New IP’s: Look, I understand that A Way Out and Anthem are new IP’s, but come on, you cannot sell me to buy a game by telling me the gameplay will be shown during someone else’s conference. No, I’m sorry that was a loss for EA in my book.

NBA Live and NHL 18: Now my beef isn’t the gameplay or the new additions to the game, my issue is that they didn’t give these games more prominence. The NHL and NBA Finals are occurring this week and they don’t get a full showing? You gotta know your crowd better EA.

Final Grade: B- . It was a good conference but it left something to be desired. I liked the conference for its strongest points, but it didn’t knock it out of the park, this was more like a really nice double to second base.

What was your grade for the EA 2017 E3 Conference? Leave a comment down below and come back as we will be going over the Bethesda, Ubisoft, Sony, Microsoft and Nintendo E3 2017 conferences throughout the week.
